supposedly our 5th...

dell is in san diego right now for his president's club ceremony/awarding. he's been consistently in the top 10% of their sales team. and we were left at home since it's only a one day affair. i just busied myself with surfing the internet while inigo is napping then it occured to me...it's the 28th and at this exact moment, 5 years ago, i was at the bridal suite of manila diamond, erik maningat was busy doing my hair and make up, fol rana busy taking my pix while the rest of the entourage was busy munching on jollibee chicken joy. nyahahahaha it would have been our 5th wedding anniversary...e kaso hindi na eh..

actually, i just heard from an ex-officemate that my ex-H has a girlfriend now and that it is pretty serious because they're planning to buy a house already. good for them! i just hope the girl is earning big time because that's ex-H #1 criteria. or else, giyera yan...goodluck girl!!!

i've been tagged.....

by Jo.....this got me thinking if we are quirky enough to be considered special..... here's my take.

QUIRKY THINGS THAT MAKE OUR FAMILY SPECIAL:

1. i mainly use my blowdryer to dry my feet when everyone else use it to dry and style their hair. i have this thing about feet. not because they are the most neglected part of the body doesn't mean they don't deserve TLC. i make sure that my feet are really dry before i wear my shoes. i've started this practice when i smelled the stinkiest feet ever way back in college. no joke but i almost fainted and so i told myself that there's no way i will let my feet smell even a bit.

2. and to keep our feet odorless, we put crumpled newspaper inside our shoes to absorb the moisture that build up after wearing the shoes for couple of hours. again, we hate smelly feet that's why we are so conscious with our own.

3. just like Jo, i have my own way of folding laundry so no one else touches or even dares to do it or else i go amok. dell calls it karate chop, i call it precision.

4. we are Nike addicts...dell collects the Jordan series while i love air rifts.

5. we cannot drink Coke without ice, loves strawberries, rocky road ice cream and tres leches.

6. we are bargain hunters.

About the Tag:

1) Jo tagged me and I will tag six people.

2) If you are tagged, then on your blog do a post about six interesting/weird facts about you and/or your family. Then tag six other people to do the same and leave a comment for them that they have been tagged and to come visit your site. This is one more way to get to know each other.

at the movies.....

last wednesday, dell was given free movie passes to any AMCs so we headed to burbank to watch ice age 2. i brought my digicam since it was going to be Inigo's first movie date and we wanted to capture every expression on his face when he sees the popcorn, movie posters, the theater and the giant screen. once inside, we started taking photos until one of the ushers told us that it is not allowed. what a bummer! pero matigas ang ulo namin so we tried to sneak some pa rin. hehehe

the movie is cute....pambata talaga. Inigo was shrieking because he was fascinated with the animation but midway, he fell asleep. well, a lot of family oriented movies are scheduled to be shown this summer so definitely magiging laman na naman kami ng sinehan. ;o)

sssshhhhh.....

hush little IGI, don't say a word,
mommy's gonna buy you a mocking bird.
if that mocking bird don't sing,
mommy's gonna buy you a diamond ring.
if that diamond ring turns brass,
mommy's gonna buy you a looking glass.
if that looking glass gets broke,
mommy's gonna buy you a billy goat.
if that billy goat don't pull,
mommy's gonna buy you a cart and bull.
if that cart and bull turn over,
mommy's gonna buy you a dog named rover.
if that dog named rover won't bark,
mommy's gonna buy you a horse and a cart.
if that horse and cart fall down,
you're still the cutest little baby in town.

absent for days.....

a friend asked why i haven't been posting lately. well, because i was incapacitated for a couple of days. my left wrist ached like hell that making a simple gesture bring me to tears. in fact blogging wasn't the only one i ceased doing while trying to figure out what was wrong with the wrist. i didn't scrap, minimal use of the internet, no chores, no sex and tried not to carry igi as much though i answered some emails. the discomfort was terrible that i was so near to gobbling up the bottle of pain reliever in our medicine cabinet...only if i am not breastfeeding. oh and it was such a hassle to wash your hair with only one hand working.

anyways, dell said it might be gout because i am a red meat lover...

i say it's scrappingitis...hehehe

the wrist is back to normal...

friends that are worth to keep.....

are friends who take their time to see you even if they are only staying for a couple of days. i just came from dinner with two of my former classmates in benilde. when we took a trip down memory lane over sushi and sashimi, we still couldn't figure out how we got together and clicked and stayed friends all these years. T and J are of the same age while i am more senior. we also belong to different social classes...me and T are middle class while J is the rich kid and yet he is very humble.

these are my friends way back in college and i truly appreciate and value our friendship because these are the people who you know respect and love you for who you are. people who will not judge you if you do or say something stupid or condemn you if you have wronged them. people who will give you second chances if along the way you almost killed each other over petty things (hehehe).

J will be flying back this June and we are planning to go out of town and have fun. i am already looking forward to that.
