yup! i broke my 365 days resolution. i tried but i failed...but i captured most of the memories in photos so let the photos speak for itself.

oh well...

but it doesn't mean i won't write about our happenings - so let me start about how my weekend went.

May 9, Saturday

it was Lula's (our hs batchmate) bridal shower. yup, she's finally getting hitched after ?? years of waiting for the perfect guy. i could still remember the day where she almost resigned to the fact that she was destined to be single forever but all of us disagreed with her. we told her to stop looking and waiting and let HIM do the works....this was in 2007.

along the way, we all kept in touch and later on heard that she met someone and have been dating him on a regular basis. we were all happy for her and wishing that he is the man. we finally got the chance to meet him on our annual Christmas party held at Meg's house in 2007.

Larry & Lula

fast forward to our annual christmas party (2008), Lula was game enough to share with us how Larry finally popped the question to her and all of us listened intently and screamed like HS girls with the kilig moments.

and last Saturday was her bridal shower organized by her sisters, Pinky and Bedj (both Kulasas but different batches). aside from our wedding gifts, we gave her a Honeymoon Survival Kit which we hope she would use.

Congratulations Larry & Lula...may your marriage be blessed with Love, Respect, Trust and a lot of humor.

May 10, Sunday

church day as usual so we were up early. had lunch at the fellowship hall and stayed a little longer for a meeting. again, i would be joining the choir for a presentation on June 28. after the meeting, we headed to Americana to meet up with Dell's good friend, Joey and his wife Len.

but it was only Joey who went with us because Len opted to stay and bond with her sister who she hasn't seen for a while. so we all headed home. CT and MP came too to see Joey and had dinner at Stonefire again.

and BR followed pero in the house na lang and they all stayed till around 1am.

so that's how our weekend went...=)

my Mother's Day celebration

it started at 12mn - my girls and Inigo gave me a card and what they wrote really made me feel special.

and here's what they wrote:

Tita O,

Happy Nanay's Day! You are an awesome addition to our family. Know that we love you and care about you a lot. Thank you for all that you do for us and having our backs when dumb boys mess with us.

Love you,
Trish

To my dearest Tita Olive,

Just want you to know that I'm so thankful to have you in my life. Know that I love you very much. Thank you for listening and just being there when you can.

Always,
Bianca

Tita Olive,

Thank you so much for being not just like a second mother to me and my sisters but for being a great aunt and friend. Hope you have an awesome day.

Love you,
Ychen

I love you Mom!

from,
Igi

touching isn't it?

then Dell handed me his card. what he wrote will just be between us for now. hehehe!

then as i browsed my Facebook, my darling daughter made a video for me and this made me cry while i was watching it. very touching and very sweet...i've never felt so appreciated but i owed it all to my Mom who stood as second mom to her while i was trying my luck here in the US.

~ ~ o ~ ~

morning came and the whole family headed off to church for the Sunday service. this time i dressed up a little because all the mothers were going to sing a special number and it's actually my first time to join in the program. but before our presentation, Pastor D asked all the moms to stand up and stand in front. we were given a little token - a shopping bag. and the funny thing is, the dads were told to fill it up with all the things we want since it's our special day. hehehe....

then we rendered the song.

then after the song number, Igi came running to me to give the paper flower he made while in Sunday school.

and after the church service, we proceeded to the fellowship hall for lunch. but we couldn't stay long since Bianca had to be at work by 2pm. so right after lunch, we went home. and since i slept late the night before, as soon as i hit the bed, i was in lala land. woke up around 5:30pm and got ready for our dinner date. this time it'll just be me and my honey.

we decided to have dinner at cheesecake since it's been ages sinwe last ate here. it was packed as expected and we waited for almost 20 minutes to be seated.

Dell ordered the chicken salad sandwich with onions rings. i know the picture didn't do much justice on the food but it was actually good according to Dell.

and mine was the Shrimp Scampi and Steak Diane combo. the serving was so generous that i shared it with Dell.

we wanted to have dessert but we were too full so we just capped the night with our favorite drink - Caramel Macchiatto with extra, extra love.

then Monday afternoon, we went to the mall and treated myself to some retail therapy. i took advantage of BBW's coupon so i bought some hand sanitizers and hand lotions. then next stop was H&M and scored a cute blouse and a necklace. then my last stop was the newly-opened LV store. after browsing their catalog and looking, looking, looking while Sarah the sales associate patiently waited for me to decide on which one to get - i finally picked this one.

it's way above the budget i set but hey....i deserve it.

and so i succumbed!
