frugal.....

in the midst of the brouhaha that is going on in our lives, i've found other ways to contribute in the finances. i've sold some items on eBay and i didn't realize that it could be very rewarding. who would have thought that you could make money on items you thought were worthless after you have used it. in fact, i am just waiting for 2 other items to close. the exersaucer that i put up on bidding has 11 watchers so far with 3 more days to go.

aside from this, ive decided to cut off my mobile phone and just get a prepaid line since i hardly use the phone. my friends (here in the US) know that if they want to reach me, the best way is through email or a message on my yahoo chat. second is my direct dial on my landline. this feature gives me full access to call my family back home and chat like i've never left the PI. though it heals my homesickness, it hurts my pocket.

with all these costcutting measures, i hope that we'd be able to meet up all our financial obligations without compromising our life's simple pleasure...and hopefully we would be able to fix the problem that b*itch has created.

on a lighter note, we're off to oakglen for the yearly family camping of dell's church. we need this breather from all the stress that we've been through lately. but we will make a sidetrip to cabazon before we head off to the campsite. don't worry, we're not going to splurge (after all the pagtitipids), we just want to get a good set of pots and pans and probably find our little boy his birthday outfit. hope the weather would cooperate this time. it's been too darn hot lately ;o( oh well, there's always the pool to cool us off.

have a good weekend everyone.....see you all next week ;o)

nuff said.....

ok...i'm done with my bickering about the b*tch who just screwed up our plans. tama na at baka sumikat pa siya. right now, i'm just busy preparing for Inigo's 1st birthday party. at least it's something to look forward to. i can't believe that our little boy is turning 1 soon.

though it's so frustrating that choices on venues is so limited. it's summertime here and it would be nice to hold it in an indoor venue but to rent them would cost me my arm and my leg so our next choice is to hold it in a park. scouting for the perfect park could be tiring too because you have to inspect the place to make sure that it's safe and the children would have enough space to run around or to even hold some games, or there would be enough picnic tables to accommodate the guests plus it must be shaded.
hay naku, this is even harder and tedious than planning a wedding, not to mention costly too.

gggrrrrr.....

ewan ko ba kung bakit may mga taong pinanganak para magpahirap ng buhay ng iba. and they say they live uprightly. kapal ng mga mukha!

but as they say, things happen for a reason and that di naman ibibigay sa yo kung hindi mo makakaya. we are holding on to our faith and praying that we come out of this trial victoriously.
pera lang yan.....di mo masasama yan sa hukay mo. it can only buy you a nice coffin but once you're 6 feet under, uuurin ka rin!

king & queen of hearts

with constant bugging of my daughter and with permission from my ex-bf, i am posting our photo from my ex's senior ball (circa 1985). yes, we were crowned the King and Queen that night and was even asked to dance to the music of ZAPPED. ugh! and i can't imagine that i was that thin.....

if only.....

my son is a big flirt.....

last night was hot plus cooking was out of the question so we decided to have dinner at one of our favorite thai resto in old town pasadena. and while dell and i were busy munching on our food, our little boy was busy playing with the table napkins. i guess he was fascinated with the color and the texture of the cloth that he kept on "flagging" it. this kept him busy for about 15 minutes until a family came and sat at the table next to us. they had their daughter with them and she's about a year old.

inigo was oblivious of what was going on in the resto until the little girl started to talk. and with her cute little voice, my little boy slowly turned his head and tried to look for the owner of that voice. and in an instant both parents were in awe as we observed how these two little creatures would interact. aaaaaaaaaaaaawww! my little boy gave the girl his killer smile and sort of extended his hand. the little girl responded by giving Inigo a meek smile and slowly turned her head away. it was a kodak moment and i hated myself for not bringing the digicam.

of course, Dell was watching the whole scene and was very proud of his little boy...took after his daddy daw. and me? na-imagine na ang sakit ng ulo in the future...kalanding bata! hahaha.....

oh my...it's july!

whew! time flies so fast when you have a toddler in tow. i didn't realize it until someone asked me where we were going to celebrate the 4th of july. unfortunately, Inigo had a slight fever that day so we decided to stay home. come night time, there were some fireworks visible from our place so we just enjoyed watching them from our apartment.
~~ o ~~
i got this from ebay. i think it was a good deal so i decided to buy it while it's still cheap. i am just too excited for Inigo's first T&T since he was too small to go last year. and here are some photos of him with his head costume.

that's it for now.....mommy duties calling.....
