pesteng IE

ok sige, wala na naman akong magawa so i changed my blog's template and made a booboo. and i am pissed with our internet connection because i get excellent signal from our room but cannot open IE. so instead of having the luxury of time fixing my template, it is wasted waiting for the next page to show up because it downloads so slooooooooooooooooow! aargh!!!

siya at maglalakad na muna ako sa neighborhood ng lumamig ng konti ang ulo ko...mabisita na rin ung scrapbook store sa kanto namin. =)

we're back from our daily afternoon walk...un ang bonding naming mag-nanay. from the bank, we went to ralph's and walked in every aisle (un ang form ng exercise ko ngayon) then headed to starbuck's to get myself a venti caramel macchiatto and low fat banana loaf and my darling son his madeleine's(?). then i realized, ang hirap pala magmaniobra ng stroller with one hand. hala...natapon-tapon na yung kalahati ng kape sa kamay ko.....and of course it didn't help that inigo was pulling his socks off so kailangan kong balikan ung isang paa...haaay! but nevertheless, we enjoyed our afternoon walk. it's our way of exploring and familiarizing ourselves with our new world.

feeling better....

yes i am feeling better now after a bout with homesickness. i guess it's those christmas songs that made me so sad and wanted to go home. but i'm okay now after burning the lines with my family in PI. don't care if my bill this month will cost me an arm and a leg.

anyways, i'm still busy packing. geez, never realized we've accumulated so many stuff over the years. i've started giving out some items to our maintenance and gardener guys. and since my whole afternoon was spent on packing and sorting, my little boy busied himself with his new set of books and fascinated himself with the flashlight. he only called my attention when he was sleepy...what a good boy!

so that's what's keeping me busy lately.....not that i have nothing substantial to write about but just trying to have everything packed before thanksgiving so i can enjoy this long weekend and we need to be out of this apartment by december 1st.....

ciao.....and happy gobble gobble day!!!

here's how my day went.....

Inigo and I did some errands together. we went to the nearby CVS Pharmacy to buy his face cream for his rashes that appear once in a while. then went around to kill time. call it weird but i do get a different kind of high when i am inside a supermarket. i go through each aisle and browse the products in the shelf. i spent a longer time in the kikay department (so what else is so surprising about that?). i couldn't decide what nail polish color to get...i was choosing between pastels or get a little daring with the bolder colors. i decided to get one color on each shade (i do my own pedicure because i am never satisfied with those viet ladies cleaning my toenails). then proceeded to the lotion department --- and got the Burt's Bee foot cream. of course by this time, Inigo was getting restless so i gave him his favorite biscuit to keep him busy. then off to the kodak developing machine to have some photos printed that i plan to scrap this weekend. geez, i am so amazed of the many choices you can have your photos printed and how fast they're printed. it was less than 5 minutes and they're cheap too. gone are the days that you wait for more than an hour...ohhh kodak! you had me at hello!!! =)

then we headed straight to Super A and grabbed some choco puddings for Inigo and veggies that i need for my nilagang baka. and this time, Inigo was really getting cranky and so i went straight to the cashier, paid and walked home. it was indeed a great walk and a welcome breeze for us after being confined to the 4 corners of our apartment everyday. yeah, i should do this more often but the thing is, the weather is so unpredictable...right not, it's H-O-T in the afternoon and gets a little cold at night. when you have a toddler in tow, weather becomes a big factor in going out because you don't want your kid getting sick at the end of the day. well, it's friday so maybe we can go around the farmer's market and buy some veggies again and cook diningding.

last night i cooked adobo, hardboiled eggs and steamed okra for dinner. of course dell, inigo and i had a sumptious supper and our stomach's are all happy as we retire for the night.

and oh...i got my skinny jeans from abercrombie...fits me perfectly and goes well with my UGGs....suweeet!!!

trick or treat...

we should have gone earlier because by the time we reached the mall and started going around, most of the stores are out of candies. what a bummer!!! i was disappointed BIG TIME because i planned for this a year ago since inigo was too young to go trick or treating last year. i bought his costume way back and even envisioned how the photos should be taken for his scrapbook moment. but everything went wrong...because dell couldn't get an off from work and the earliest he could get off is 5:30.

to make up for it, we just went house to house in the neighborhood. the only consolation is we got good candies...tootsie roll, hershey's, nestle crunch, snickers, baby ruth and all those chocolates we grew up with and not those cheap bags of candies that taste like plastic.

well, dell promised that next year would be better...(it better be!!!) that he would take the day off so we could go to the coolest area in town to go trick or treating.....with complete costumes and everything.
anyway, here's inigo in his C-O-W costume.

no longer a baby...

i was chatting with my daughter thru yahoo last night. we were talking about her ardent suitor Y. i am a bit worried because i don't want my daughter to get into a relationship that would just hurt her in the end. i am not being cynical but we all know that such kind of relationships don't last long. and as a mom, we all want to protect our children from any harm it may bring about in the future.

but she assured me that Y comes from a good family and has all the qualifications i've set for her suitors. she also told me not to worry with her studies and her well-being because she knows where her heart is. oh good lord.....i hope she stays that way for long.

then she mentioned that Y came over to pay her a visit and to meet my parents. uhm...trying to impress me? :O) and as usual, my mom interrogated Y and asked a lot of questions...poor boy!

and as we were saying goodbye she casually told me that they're officially bf-gf on 10/14/06.

huhuhu.....
