trick or treat we did not....

bloopers....

conversation at 6:30 am while breastfeeding igi:

O: buti na lang steady na ang milk supply ko at maganda ang nipple ko. kasi may ka-egroup ako na inverted nipple so nahihirapan siya magpadodo.
D: bakit? mahirap ba pag inverted?
O:oo naman, kasi nakapasok ung nipple mo so paano magla-latch ang baby? tapos ung pagpapadodo ang magpapabuild ng supply ng milk mo. syempre kung hindi mafi-feel ng body mo ang need to produce milk, then it won't produce milk.
D: so ano dapat gawin?
O: tyaga lang kasi "supply of law & demand" yan eh...
*ngek...halatang bangag sa antok!!!!!

conversation at 9:30 am right after dell scared me to death

O: (naiiyak) gaganti ako
D: (natatawa) baby, wag naman! alam mo naman na matatakutin ako....
O: basta! gaganti ako
D: baby, di naman kita ginugulat eh, inaabot lang kita
O: he! anong inaabot mo lang ako.....bakit may "side effects" pa?

* di na ko natutuwa sa sarili ko! this is what i get from watching too much extra challenge

eto pa isa habang nanonood kami ng eat bulaga ni dell

VIC SOTTO: ano ang pang-abay sa english?
D & O: (with kayabangan pa nang sumagot) e di "bridesmaid"

* adverb kaya.....aysus!!!

the DRACULAS

this is the last week of Dell's 1-9 schedule so we have to go back to our regular routine. for the past 2 weeks kasi we've been sleeping late and waking up late. pati si inigo nagiging draculito na rin. imagine naman....we sleep around 2am and wake up between 9 to 10:30am. parang mas okay nga ang 1-9 because i don't force myself to get out of bed early to prepare Dell's baon. plus mas okay ang sales niya kasi ang bulk ng calls come after 6pm when most subscribers are at home already. but it has its disadvantage din. by the time he gets off from work, sarado na karamihan ang mga shops. i don't have a car so lahat ng errands si dell ang gumagawa. unlike nung normal hours niya na 9 to 6, after work nakakapag-grocery pa kami or nakakapag-dinner pa kami sa labas.

oh well, hopefully maging option ung shina-shuffle ung schedule. ung tipong 1 month 9-6 tapos 1 month 1-9.

How How de Carabao?!?!?!

since i am an SAHM, i have the luxury to surf when my little Inigo is asleep. and what i do most of the time is read the blogs of some friends and acquaintances. it's interesting kasi you learn something from someone and you thank them for sharing their thoughts online without having the fear of being judged.

anyhow, another thing that fascinates me is the webpage design. nakakaaliw tingnan, may simple, may nakakahilo, may pacute at may old fashion but yet it reflects the blogger's personality. i've tried so many times to work on my webpage design pero kahit anong intindi ko, di ko talaga maintindihan. i guess webpage designing is not really my line. pero di bale, i'm in no rush to design it. ang importante e masulat ko ung nasasaloobin ko.

but of course for those who would want to make my blog's webpage more inviting is most welcome (basta libre).

the GOWN....

i was chatting with my daughter last night and we were browsing www.style.com for some gowns. she will be having her school's junior prom next year, january 2006 at the Manila Peninsula. and she has a date na rin and his name is ralph cobarrubias...nice young lad.

going back to the gowns, we've chosen some nice ones but the one i liked best is designed by our very own monique lhullier. i know it will look good on patricia because my daughter carries whatever she dons elegantly. of course ang problema na lang is if his lolo boy would allow her to wear such style. hindi naman masyadong revealing....take a look at the picture.

i've also instructed her to contact a designer na and get a quotation. hay...i wish i'm back home to help her prepare for her prom. it only happens once in your life and i feel bad because i'm missing this exciting moment in my daughter's life. nadudurog ang puso ko and i really wish that i can make up for all the lost times soon.....

Monterey Bay, Cannery Row, Pebble Beach

we just came from Monterey Bay with some friends. it was a 5-hour drive, ang sakit sa puwet. my scoliosis acted up and for a moment i couldn't move. dell drove the whole time and to keep us awake, we bought starbuck's on the way. Inigo was a good boy, he only cried once because it was his feeding and nappie change time. so the oldies took advantage of this break to go to the restroom and gas up. syempre since i don't leave the house without my digicam, i took some pictures to chronicle the trip.

we reached the base (courtesy of our ex-navy friend Noel) around 2:30am. we were 30 mins early from our ETA. we decided to wait in the car while Noel was busy fixing our accommodations on the front desk (2 SUVs pala kami). so while waiting, Dell played a joke on the girls riding in the other SUV. binuksan kasi nila ung window, so dahan dahan siyang naglakad and ginulat ung mga babae. hahahahaha just imagine their reactions. e syempre natakot kami kasi military base yon so baka may mga nagpa-patrol.

finally, we got into our rooms. the bed was so inviting so it wasn't hard for me to fall asleep. namamahay kasi ako or baka kasi sobrang sakit na ng katawan ko from the trip kaya nakatulog agad ako. pero since dingding lang ang pagitan namin ng mga friends namin, we could hear their conversation. palakas ng palakas ang boses but of course nanalo ang antok ko so i was in lalaland right away. hindi lang yon, for the first time, inigo didn't sleep on my chest. sa kama siya natulog and he slept straight. nagising na lang kami ng 8:30am to feed him na. so after feeding, we started to get ready and by 11am, we were all out of the hotel to start the day.

we had brunch at fish hopper at cannery row. the buffet selection of food was ok but since hindi naman kami matatakaw, isang balik lang kami. though we had a great view since we were seated at the backmost of the reataurant facing the monterey bay. ang daming ducks and there were some people kayaking. then after brunch...off to monterey bay aquarium...

so while we were in line, someone sold their tickets to us for $25.00 for 2 (libre si Inigo). nakatipid na naman kami kasi the ticket is $25 each. the aquarium was nice, napaka-calming ng atmosphere. basta ang ganda lalo na ung aquarium na may mga gigantic yellowfin tuna, shark at kung ano ano pang mga isda yon. i was so relaxed when i was breastfeeding Inigo kasi feeling ko nasa ilalim ako ng dagat. hahaha

from there, we then proceeded to the scenic 17 mile drive on pebble beach. hindi talaga pinalampas ito ng mga kasama namin (isa na doon si dell) since most of them are golf addicts. this famous golf course is owned by clint eastwood and this is where the yearly at&t golf cup is being held. the view was spectacular...the houses were H-U-G-E!!!!! we stopped at every vista point to take pictures. ang ganda talaga ng view. it was a welcome respite from our toxic life in the city. we finally reached the golf course and since tulog si Inigo, Ninang Rea offered to babysit so Dell and I could have our "our" time even for a short while. we went to the shop and bought some souvenirs (keychains, shirts and my $28 cap). then went to the 18th green and took some photos. there was a wedding to be held, ang romantic kasi overlooking Pacific Ocean. pero kung ako ung bride, hindi ako magtu-tube dahil maninigas ako sa lamig.

so after this whole day adventure, dinner naman was at the fisherman's wharf.....since malapit kami sa dagat, seafood was what all of us ordered pero may gulay, kaming 2 lang ni dell was almost $70. josko....pang-2 linggo na naming pamalengke yon. but of course, this doesn't happen often so ok na rin. tapos coldstone for dessert kahit nanginginig na kami sa lamig. back in the hotel, after shower by 10 pm i was in lala land.....

Sunday.....we were on the road by 12noon. we decided to take the scenic route back home. tinagpas namin ang Pacific Coast Highway. syempre nag-enjoy kami sa view pero nang medyo matagal tagal na zigzag drive e hindi na nakakatuwa. i felt dizzy pero di naman ako nasusuka. grabe.....nakakahilo pala pag katagalan. and since all of us didn't have lunch yet, we ate at Morro Bay. had fish and chips and one piece of oyster. sarap kasi fresh talaga.

then after our late lunch and some window shopping, the drive back to reality started..... ;o(

we were home by 9pm.....

p.s. we have tons of pictures but i don't know how to link it with my blog. still have to figure that out.
